I strongly recommend using just soap and water to clean the wrapped vehicle. If you need to get a tough spot clean, and regular soap and water isn't doing the trick, you can use a denatured alcohol. Stay away from windex or waxes. If you would like to take it a step further, there are some places that sell vinyl polish that will bring in a nice shine.

Can you use alcohol or Windex to clean the material after it is applied? Or will that eat away at the laminate?

One of our clients actually prefers us to wrap their vans that way. It works great on pickup trucks as well, but forget trying to do horizontal panels on say a 20' Trailer... Too much stretching takes place because you are fighting gravity, and it becomes a nightmare to line up the registration.

This material has a different adhesive than the vinyl that is used for die cut letters, however, it doesn't seem like the vinyl was the problem in your friend's case. Sounds to me like he had a bum paint job or didn't wait for the paint to totally cure before applying the graphics.

A buddy of mine had some vinyl lettering removed and some of the paint chipped off. Are you sure this material doesn't do the same?
