Question: We believe that the paint may peel in certain sections. How would you deal with that?
Answer: The biggest problem many people tend to have is not explaining things thoroughly beforehand to the client. It’s not so much that the van has cruddy paint and will most likely come up, as it is the fact that the customer didn’t know about it ahead of time. The one thing that clients hate more than anything would be surprises. (“I didn’t know it would take this long, I didn’t know it would last only 3 years, I didn’t know not to wax it, I didn’t know, I didn’t know”…etc) You get the idea. The point is that as long as the customer is educated before you start that the paint will probably fail, when it eventually does they will say “Well, (name here) told me that this would happen”. The good news is that you may have some time left to save face. Before peeling ANYTHING I would recommend telling your customer that this will most likely happen. This is always better than showing him after the fact. Good luck!
