Question: Do you come out and measure the car so you know it will fit, or do you get all that from the dealer?
Answer: We actually have template programs for all vehicles that show the measurements and allow us to design right on them so you can see the way it will look on your car before we go into production. Even though we can get vehicle templates from ’93 and on, there are some odd ones (and classics) that we have to make our own templates for. We do this by coming out to measure all aspects of the vehicle. Also, even though we have these templates, it is still a good idea to measure the car anyway because you may lose some information going from a 3D car to a 2D template. Furthermore, parts of the vehicle that cannot be wrapped, such as plastic bumpers, may not be clearly displayed on the template.
